Laurie Jenson was one of the original committee members that helped create the Levin Motor Racing Circuit. He also was instrumental in helping many young Levin aspiring racing drivers with their car especially with regards to cooling systems. Laurie on race days was quite often the "salvage recovery" person driving the tractor and trailer picking up the broken cars,bikes etc. I recall Laurie (1969 ish) being parts of the "brains trust" that worked as a committee organising the seasons events-others on the committee were Leo Critchley, Eddie Lyon,Selwyn Hyde,Murray Carkeek and Ivan Winstanley to name a few I recall. Laurie was involved in the Fire Police as per attached cutting. He later became involved in The local Vintage Car Club
